A Beautiful Life

A beautiful life has come to an end;

she/he died as she/he lived, everyone’s friend.

In our hearts your memory will always be kept;

someone we loved who we will never forget.

After Glow

 I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one,

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,

of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun.

Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

A Mother’s Love
A mother’s love is something
no one can explain; made of

deep devotion, sacrifice and pain.
Endless, unselfish, patient and

forgiving. Believing beyond belief;

glowing with beauty like a rare gem.
A many splendored miracle man

cannot understand; another wondrous

evidence of God’s tender guiding hand.

Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain and the gentle autumn rain.
I am the quiet birds in circled flight;the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; I did not die.

Fill Not Your Hearts

Fill not your hearts with sorrow;

remember me in every tomorrow.

Although my leaving causes you

pain and grief, my death has

eased my hurt and given me relief.

So dry your eyes and remember me,

not as I am now, but as I used to be.

As long as I have the love of each of

you, I can live in the hearts of all of you.

Grief and Pain by C.S. Lewis

Grief and pain are the price

 we humans have to pay

for the love and total commitment

 we have for another person.

The more we love, the more we hurt

when we lose the object of our love.

But, if we are honest with ourselves,

would we have it any other way?

Love and Go On

You can shed tears he is gone,

or smile because he lived.

Close your eyes, pray he'll come;

open your eyes and see all he's left.

You can remember him and only

that he's gone, or you can cherish

his memory and let him live on.

Or, you can do what he'd want: Smile,

open your eyes, love and go on.

Those we love remain

with us for love itself lives on,

and cherished memories never

fade because a loved one's gone…

Those we love can never be

more than a thought apart,

for as long as there is memory,

they'll live on in the heart.

Miss Me-But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me,

I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.  Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little – but not too long And not with your head bowed low.

Remember the love that we once shared.  Miss me – but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take, and each must go alone.

It’s all a part of the Master’s Plan, a step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart, Go to the friends

we know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.

Miss me – but let me go.

We’ll always Remember

That special smile that caring heart.

That warm embrace you always gave us. You being there for dad and us,

through good and bad times no matter what.

We’ll always remember you mom because

there’ll never be anyone to replace you in our hearts.

And the love we will always have for you.

Mother's Touch

“The Magic of a Mother’s Touch”

There’s magic in a Mother’s touch, and sunshine in her smile.

There’s love in everything she does to make our lives worthwhile.

We can find both hope and courage just by looking in her eyes.

Her laughter is a source of joy, her words are warm and wise.

There is a kindness and compassion to be found in her embrace,

and we see the light of heaven shining from a Mother’s face.

Music has moments of rapturous sound and intervals of rest.

It thrills the heart with its majesty and soothes it when suppressed.

Life too has ringing, throbbing tones and muted, silent keys.

Yet both are merged at the Master’s touch into living symphonies.

You are not forgotten

You are not forgotten loved one;

nor will you ever be. As long as life

and memory last, we will remember thee.

We miss you now; our hearts are sore.

As time goes by, we miss you more,

Your loving smile, your gentle face;

no one can fill your vacant place.

You Will Walk With Us Forever

Our lives go on without you; nothing

is the same. We hide our heartache

when someone speaks your name.

Sad are the hearts that love you,

silent the tears that fall;

living our lives without you

will be the hardest part of all.

The special years will not return

when we were all together;

with everlasting love in our hearts,

you will walk with us forever.
