West Warwick – Kenneth E. Jacobson, died peacefully Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence after a short illness.
Born November 9, 1935 in Milford, MA he was the son of the late Earl M. Jacobson and Adelaide (Harmon) Deeley. Ken was a 1954 graduate of Natick High School where he was president of his class and an outstanding athlete. He graduated from Boston College in 1971.
For the first twenty years of his career he was employed by New England Telephone Company in Framingham moving to Rhode Island in 1973 to open his own residential fire protection business.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Marilyn (Hogan) Jacobson. He was the loving father of Mary Kathleen Sullivan and her husband Richard of St. Augustine, FL, Kenneth E. Jacobson Jr. of Maynard, MA, W. Gregory Jacobson of Milwaukee, WI and Christian A. Jacobson of North Kingstown, RI and the adored grandfather of Nicholas and Benjamin Lazzara and Kristoffer and David Jacobson. He also leaves his dear sister, Janice (Deeley) Hendricks of St. Augustine, FL.
At Ken's request burial services will be private. Contributions may be made in his memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI-Philip Hulitar Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
