Robert R."Bob" Barrett, age 63, of Coventry passed away due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. He was the loving husband of Deborah "Deb" A. (LaColle) Barrett of Coventry for 43 memorable years. He was born in Providence, RI to the late Wilson R. and the late Mary Isabel (Barbosa) Barrett.
A successful self-made business man, Bob was the founder and owner of Patriot Plumbing & Heating, Inc. in Coventry, RI. Some would say he was stubborn, but he was known to be selfless, outgoing and would offer any type of help anytime. He loved being a father and grandfather and worked hard to provide for his family and give them comfort.
Besides his wife Deb, he is survived by two children: Scott Barrett (wife Joanne) of Coventry, RI and Jennifer Skazinski (husband Michael) of Warwick, RI; four grandchildren: Jaike Skazinski, Brayden Barrett, Lukas Skazinski and Nolan Barrett; two siblings: David R. Barrett (wife Barbara) of West Greenwich, RI and Valerie A. Owens (husband Charlie) of North Carolina and his mother-in-law, Ann LaColle of West Warwick, RI.
Calling hours will be Friday, April 21 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI. Burial will be private.
