Coventry - Richard R. Imondi, 60, of Larch Drive, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Kent Hospital, Warwick.
Born in Providence, a son of Ernest A. Imondi of Coventry and the late Dorothy (Naturale) Imondi, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was an electrician, employed by IBEW Local 99.
He was an avid hockey player who played for Mount Saint Charles Academy as a goaltender.
In addition to his father he is survived by two sons: Justin R. Imondi of West Warwick and Trevor M. Imondi of Warwick; one daughter: Shana Hollis of Fort Drum, NY; one sister: Loriann Pray of Coventry; one brother: Gary Imondi of Coventry and six grandchildren: Tyler and Orion Rathbun, Gianna and Kylie Imondi, Brody and Kamryn Hollis.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 10:00 am at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call one hour prior to the service from 9:00 – 10:00 am. Burial, with military honors, in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations sent to Hasbro Children's Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital Foundation, Development Office, PO Box H, Providence, RI 02901-9979.
