Lynn J. (Stepka) Mitchell, 43, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 23, 2012. She was the wife of Bruce S. Mitchell of Exeter. Born in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of William F. and Doris J. (Roy) Stepka of Johnston.
She was a graduate of URI and RI College with a Masters Degree in Education, a teacher at Cole Middle School in East Greenwich and a member of St. Kateri Tekakwitha.
Besides her husband she is survived by two children: Madeline and Scott Mitchell, stepson Nick Murphy of Exeter; a brother Michael Stepka of Attleboro, MA and a grandmother Emily Stepka of Johnston.
Calling hours will be at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Wednesday, December 26 from 5-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Kateri Tekakwitha, 84 Exeter Road, Exeter on Thursday at 10 AM.
