Herbert Erich Schoettle, 90, of Warwick, died Wednesday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of Walburga Gertrude (Kazenmayer) for 66 years.
Born in Germany, grew up in Neu-Barental, he was the son of Friedrich and Marie (Huber) Schoettle. He was a watchmaker, employed by Bulova Watch Company.
Herbert is survived by his daughter Karen Mariano and her husband Frank of Warwick and his granddaughter Emma. He was predeceased by his sister Elsie and her husband Karl Dihlmann.
Funeral service will be Saturday, February 18, at 11:00 a.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church of East Greenwich, 118 Division Street, East Greenwich, followed by burial in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. immediately prior to the funeral at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick.
