Joslin, Emerson "Bob" P., 72, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. He was the husband of Linda J. (Benson) Joslin of West Warwick, RI. He was born in Worcester, MA to the late Elliott P. Jr. and Louise Knowles (Eayrs) Joslin. He was the grandson of the late Dr. Elliott P. Joslin.
Bob retired from the United States Navy after serving 26 years; furthermore, he was with the VA Medical Center in Providence, RI for 13 years. He was a member of the RI Rose Society and maintained a cherished rose garden at home. He would often find delight in watching various birds snack at his bird feeder. His world was his son, Eric, who gave him great joy and unconditional love throughout his life. He was deeply devoted to his wife, Linda, of fifty years.
Besides his wife Linda, he is survived by his son Eric Joslin of Waltham, MA; a sister: Ada Flanagan (husband Terrill) of Marysville, CA and a large extended family. He is predeceased by his sister Louise Knowles Voight.
Family and friends may gather for a graveside service in the main entrance at the RI Veterans Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI on Thursday, May 18 at 10:45 AM. Military honors will be held at the grave.
